I do not understand
Why no song compares to the one that was echoed through are minds on a bumpy car ride to a candy factory. Cramming into that white jeep ignorant of the world around us lost in the song about 7 friends fleeing into the night in a moments notice with one swig of polyjuice potion.
Why no other friend compares to the ones that you barely knew, yet knew enough to have the best memories of your life. The simplicity of it all going to a park, to plan for a hair frying party, or driving all the way down town to watch a movie. The last minute deciding to go to a different theater with a time crunch, and just making it in time for the last showing of the night.
Why one person could come, and tear it all away within a blink of an eye, and why no one tried to stop them, yet just let it all fall away intro different directions in life.
But most of all
Why it’s so hard for us to regroup after this? Why does it seem like every time we get close to that light at the end of the tunnel to becoming what we once were we take the usually two steps back instead of forward.
What I understand the most
Is that we will regroup one day soon, and the memories will flood back, like glinting silver lights being dropped into the pensieve of life, and we will remember the glee we had, and the amazing times we had. Until then I suppose I will wait for that day when we all come to our senses.
